Oppose Bill 13- of the Education Act in Ontario Support Bill 14 -which is a good anti bullying bill |
As you may know, the Provincial government has before it 2 bills-- Bill 13 and Bill 14 Bill 13 purports to be about bullying. It's not. Bill 14 is about bullying. Bill 13, which is ironically called "The Accepting Schools Act" is narrowly focused on students who are bullied over gender identity issues. While we as Christians oppose bullying of all kinds; introducing a bill that ignores the majority of bullying while opening the door to curriculum changes (I.e teaching our children that they have a possibility of 7 genders and not what they are born with) will confuse our children and is wrong. Further ramifications of Bill 13 include all churches that rent schools being evicted for not signing on that they agree to the details of this new bill (if passed in its current form) |
